This review article accounts for late 20th and early 21st century genetic work in mice. It focuses heavily on the nuances of the mouse genome revealed by the completion of its sequence, both on its own and with respect to humans. Guenet also covers advances in laboratory manufactured mutagenesis as well as in phenotyping.
