The Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) was a study of over 6,000 men in the United States, sited in Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh, conducted from 1984 to 2019. MACS was led in Los Angeles by Roger Detels and Otoniel Martinez-Maza; in Chicago by Steven Wolinsky; in Baltimore by Lisa Jacobson and Joseph Margolick;  and in Pittsburgh by Charles R. Rinaldo and Susan Koletar.
